Gord Schmidt, Keith Buchanan, & Pete MacLoghlin skied an 11 km loop starting on Kawartha up to Wolf to Kenner then down Kenner, returning to the Woodfine Chalet on Beaver. We met

Arndt Kruger on Kenner who was planning to ski with us but arrived just after we left the Woodfine chalet. The trails were groomed & snow covered with occasional icy patches. Pete fell at the bottom of one of the hills on Beaver when his skis hit some ice & slid from under him. Enjoyed lunch at Honey's

Pete MacLoghlin, Barry Diceman, Frank Marett, & Keith Buchanan skied a 16.3 km loop. From the chalet east on Beaver across Trillium to Adam Scott, up Scott to Trillium & the Tanney cabin. From Tanney skied to PL, across PL to N Kawartha & down to Otter across to Owl, then down to Kawartha & back to the chalet. As the photos show the trails were groomed & in very good condition with just spectacular weather. The conditions are amazing considering the lack of snow & mild temperatures this winter! Kawartha had icy sections with the occasional bare spots. Left the club at 2:40 pm so didn’t stop for lunch.

Pete MacLoghlin, Frank Marett,Peter Hamley,Keith Buchanan & Gord Schmidt decided to check out the conditions after phone discussions between Peterborough, Oshawa & Norwood because there was a chance of rain & we were unsure of the road conditions + if the snow might be wet & sticky but as the photos show conditions were ideal for skiing with dry powdery snow from an overnight snowfall.The snow was starting to become a bit sticky as we crossed Red Fox, as the temperature climbed from -5 C to 0 C.We skied a 12 km loop starting up Kawartha to Owl & the Tanney cabin, then down Kenner to Wolf, to Trillium, across Red Fox to Kawartha.
